How much does it cost to move to the Oregon Coast?
Coast moves are charged by the hour, including the drive. The total depends on your home size, how much you are moving, the distance to your coast town, and access at both addresses, such as steep or gravel driveways and stairs. Request a free quote for an estimate based on your move.
Which coast towns do you move to?
We move households between the Portland metro and the north and central coast, including Astoria, Seaside, Cannon Beach, Tillamook, Pacific City, Lincoln City, Depoe Bay, Newport, and Florence.
How long does a move to the coast take?
From Hillsboro, the north coast and Tillamook are about 1.5 to 2 hours of driving and Lincoln City about 2 hours. Smaller homes often load and deliver the same day; larger homes going farther south may deliver the next morning.
What happens if the weather is bad on moving day?
We check road conditions before we leave. If a storm or closure makes the Coast Range unsafe, we talk with you about adjusting the timing, and your belongings stay secured in the truck.
Can you move a second home or vacation rental?
Yes. We move furniture into and out of second homes and rentals, and we can work around check-in and check-out times.
Do you offer storage for coast moves?
Yes. Our climate-controlled warehouse in Hillsboro is on the west side of the metro, on the way to the coast, for moves where the dates do not line up.
Can you move a piano to the coast?
Yes. We secure pianos for the long drive and move uprights, baby grands, and grands.
Can I hire movers only to load a truck or storage container?
Yes. Our labor-only service covers loading or unloading a rental truck, POD, or other container that you drive yourself.
Are your movers insured?
We provide basic coverage based on item weight, and you can upgrade to full-value protection, even on moving day. All of our movers are employees covered by workers' comp, so you are not liable for on-site injuries. We recommend carrying irreplaceable or high-value items yourself.
What items won't you move?
We do not move pets, house plants, flammables, or liquids. Lawn mowers are fine once the gas is drained, and grills are fine with the propane disconnected. Pool tables must be slate-crated and prepped before the move.
