How far in advance should I schedule packing services?

We recommend letting us know when you book your move. Packing usually takes place one to two days before moving day, so everything is ready to go without last-minute scrambling.

This company is great! I sent them a message on their website and I was contacted by Michael that same day, unlike most other places that I just never heard back from. Some places gave us okay quotes but this place was the most honest, friendly and easy to talk to. We had three movers to help us. Eddie was great at talking us through the process and making sure that everything was exactly how I wanted it even if I changed my mind about where I wanted something, he was happy to make sure I knew it could be taken care of. He really knows what he’s doing and I felt very reassured by all of them that day, Gage and Logan were both very friendly and good at communicating with us. They were also fast and careful with wrapping our stuff and it didn’t take them long to be able to move my huge dresser and couch down three flights of half turn stairs. They made difficult problem solving look so easy. Every question I asked them they answered with a smile and I feel like all of my belongings were handled with care. They moved so much more than what’s in the pictures but everything arrived in the same condition it left in. I think that the price was very fair for the incredible work they did. I hired a 5 man crew with two trucks. Those guys worked for 11 hours getting my storage units cleared out and our stuff into our new addition. They also packed the remainder into our garage when I realized it wasn't all going to fit! They were careful with my things and asked where boxes and furniture went when it wasn't obvious. Couldn't have asked for a better crew and I am deeply grateful for their help. This is the second time we've had them move us and if we need to again, they will be the first we call.

I had two movers from priority movers, John and Tyler they showed up on time, gave me sufficient notice before coming and also followed up with another call just to let me know they were here. I hadn't moved in 15 years and was apprehensive about the process but I'm getting older and wasn't about to try moving everything with myself and a couple of friends (who are also getting older) this time around. Nigel and Billy showed up early, were very friendly and professional, got all my furniture and other non-boxed items covered in moving blankets, shrink wrapped and into the truck in an amazing amount of time. It would taken me a couple of days to do everything they did in a couple of hours. The whole process was about as painless as it could be. When we got to the new place, they were just as professional. I was a little worried since the new place can be a little hard to find and they arrived barely 5 minutes after I had gotten there. I told them where I wanted items placed and they had the entire truck unloaded and into the new apartment in a little over an hour. No items broken or damaged, everything arrived intact. I will definitely use Priority Moving Services again and already recommended them to a friend who's moving in the spring. Highly recommend their services.

I chose Priority Moving after an extensive Google search. It’s not easy to find a mover that is honest, personable & professional, and willing to help you meet your budget requirements. This was the ONLY business I found that didn’t have endless complaints on the BBB site. The only complaint they had was clearly from a difficult customer. I was happy to find a local mover to help us move from OR to TX. The communication & planning support we received from Michael went far above my expectations. Moving halfway across the country is a BIG event and costs a lot more than one would hope. Michael, however, worked close with us to determine what would work best for us. The crew of 4 that arrived at our house was efficient, pleasant to work with (esp on what could have been a very stressful day) & somehow fit everything we want to pack in the trucks! John & Shawn drove 4 days to meet us in TX on our moving day! We didn’t have to wait weeks for our belongings to arrive like other companies/services are known for. Once again, John & Shawn were upbeat & enjoyable to be around on such an exhausting day! All of our belongings arrived safely, with the exception of an antique mirror that lost a screw during the long trip. Despite that, the mirror stayed intact and was easily put back together. The movers did a fantastic job! They were careful as they worked and very diligent to make sure everything was set where we wanted it.My only complaint is the business model as a whole. They charge for drive time (not unheard of), but it somehow took 1 hour and 20 minutes to get from their location (Hillsboro) to Tigard (more than double the amount of time it should have take), but then only 45 minutes to get from Tigard to Forest Grove. That’s absurd! So, warning to make sure you are aware that they can take way longer to get somewhere than it should and you could be responsible for that charge.

I was moving from the coast to Portland so I thought I would be paying a ridiculous sum… and that did not happen… I felt everything was open and honest. He recommended a three man truck, which obviously cost more hourly, but would go quicker through the day ultimately saving me money. that did indeed end up being the best option for me.The three staff who arrived on my moving day were FANTASTIC!!! I worked with Josh, Josh, and Elijah. I could not have asked for better movers. They were hardworking, friendly, and efficient. I didn’t have a lot of furniture, more boxes (MANY BOXES), but they wrapped each piece of furniture so well, there was not a single mark on anything. They verified details with me to make sure they were doing exactly what I wanted. Lastly, moving is always stressful- I would even say a nightmare… lol. additionally I was dealing with a couple personal issues that day- the movers, while still focused on their work, could see I was upset and each asked if i was ok, or if I needed anything. They were so incredibly kind!!!While I hope to not move again for quite a while, there is no question- I won’t work with anyone but priority moving!!
